Biography of the Clerk of the Court

Rachelle M. Resnick was appointed Clerk of the Court for the Arizona Supreme Court on March 5, 2007.

In 1999, the Eighth Judicial District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada chose Ms. Resnick to create the Family Law Self-Help Center, which she also managed from 1999 to 2007. Under her leadership, the Center received two NACO Awards for innovative programming. The Supreme Court of Nevada selected her as the State of Nevada’s Outstanding Public Lawyer in 2006.

Prior to developing the Self-Help Center, Ms. Resnick served as a law clerk for two district court judges in Nevada and practiced law in the private sector, focusing on domestic law.

Ms. Resnick has served on committees and boards for several organizations throughout her career, including the Horace Rumple Inn of Court (Executive Committee 2009-present), the National Association for Court Management (ICM Scholarship Committee Chair, 2007), the Nevada Association of Court Executives (Secretary, 2003-2006), the Arizona Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court of Nevada.

Ms. Resnick received her B.A. in economic theory from The American University in 1987, her Juris Doctorate from Emory University in 1990, where she was a member of the Emory International Law Review, and her M.B.A. from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2006. She earned her Court Management Program Certificate from the National Center for State Courts in 2006.
