| Welcome to the Arizona Supreme Court Clerk’s Office. This web
site gives information for the most commonly asked questions about
the Court and our office. If you can’t find your answers here, our
office staff will probably be able to help you. Our telephone number
is 602-452-3396. The Clerk’s Office has many responsibilities, including filing, tracking and maintaining the documents in all of the cases filed in the Arizona Supreme Court. Some of our other duties are: making the decisions of the Court available to the public, providing support to the Court during oral argument, documenting disciplinary actions against attorneys and judges, finalizing the admission of attorneys to practice law in Arizona, and processing any appeals regarding the admission process. Most of the documents filed in our court are open to the public. Upon request, we will make copies of these documents. Arizona law requires us to collect a copying fee of $.50 per page. If you would like to review documents or have copies made please call our office for more information. The Arizona Supreme Court is the highest court in the State of Arizona and most of the cases decided by the Supreme Court are appeals from the decisions of another court in Arizona. However, there are a few types of cases, such as death penalty cases and changes to the rules that the courts must follow, that are filed directly with the Supreme Court. Other cases involving the discipline of attorneys or judges may be appealed to the Supreme Court. It is our desire to help you as much as possible. However we cannot give legal advice. Thank you for visiting us. Rachelle M. Resnick Clerk of the Supreme Court Our Mission: "Assisting those on a quest for justice." |
