Arizona Revised Statutes §28-3395(A)(2) requires the Arizona Supreme Court
to make public the amount of the court diversion fee assessed by each
Arizona court, and the total cost to attend defensive driving school for
dismissal of a designated minor traffic citation. The total cost to attend
consists of the total of four amounts: (1) the court diversion fee; (2) the
State Fee; (3) the state surcharge; and (4) a school fee. The total cost to
attend may be expressed as a range where the court uses more than one school
and the school fees are different. The court diversion fee may change in
April and October of each year.
Note: There may be additional fees, such as notary
fees, collection fees, etc., associated with a citation which may be ordered
by a court and/or collected by a defensive driving school or a third-party
representative. These fees may be in addition to the fees discussed in the
preceding paragraph and the costs may vary. Prior to enrolling in a course,
a student may inquire of their court or a defensive driving school as to
whether any of these additional costs may be applicable.
