The Judicial College of Arizona operates through a Board of Directors and is staffed by the Education Services Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). The College Board is composed of a dean, an associate dean, an appellate judge, four judges of general jurisdiction, four judges of limited jurisdiction, two law school professors, a representative from the State Bar of Arizona, and a public member. The Director of the Education Services Division serves as the Executive Director for the College. Board members serve three-year terms. The College has four standing committees: Programs for New Judges, Annual Judicial Conference, Continuing Education and Career Development. Another committee deals with JCA Publications. The College Board meets quarterly to review evaluations of the past programs, assess the status of programs in development, and implement planning for future programs. The Board also reviews requests from various agencies or groups regarding curriculum composition and determines if and how they may be implemented.
