The Admissions Unit implements procedures that are required of individuals to practice law in Arizona. The staff supports two Supreme Court committees,
the Committee on Examinations and the Committee on Character and Fitness.
The American Bar Association provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
The purpose of the Attorney Discipline Unit is to protect the public and the administration of justice from lawyers who have not discharged their professional duties to clients, the public, the legal
system and/or the legal profession.
The Arizona Bar Foundation provides funds for legal services to the poor giving thousands hope for the future. The Foundation also funds a comprehensive K-12 education program
that teaches many topics such as conflict resolution, public policy making, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The Institute for Justice provides a resource for legal service organizations and their advocates across the
state. It allows people living in rural areas access to the legal talent in Phoenix,
Tucson, and surrounding areas.

matters as how to hire a lawyer, attorney professional responsibility, legal
assistance to the community and legal topics important to all individuals.
